Spring Pops Concert

Cole Poetry Contest! |
On March 21st, there was the Spring Pops Concert at Cole. The students performing have been preparing since late December for it. The band, chorus, and orchestra all performed beautiful songs. The questions below are the overall answers of a few chorus students that were interviewed at the event.
Question 1: What is your favorite part of your music course? Answers: I like singing with my friends / being able to express myself. Question 2: What do you like about the concert? Answers: It is cool to show our parents something different / the rush of adrenaline. Question 3: What is your favorite song from the class? Answers: I like “A Million Dreams”. I like Katy Perry. Question 4: What is the overall class favorite song? Answers: “A Million Dreams” all the way. Coming up, the band, chorus, and orchestra will be going on their Great East Trip on Friday, May 10th. This involves singing for judges and a Six Flags trip. |
All students in grades 6 through 8 can submit one original poem to their ELA teacher by Friday, May 17th. The top three poems will receive a certificate and have the chance to have their poem featured in the final issue of The Lancer Letter. The first place winner will also receive a $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble.
